Opal Version 1.1 Released

We are pleased the announce the release of Version 1.1 of the Opal Toolkit,
which can be used for wrapping scientific applications as Web services. The
Java and Python versions of the software are available for download at
http://nbcr.net/services/#Software.

This version is completely API compatible with Version 1.0. However, it
supports the following additional features -
* Ability to use the DRMAA (http://drmaa.org) API to interact with
schedulers. The DRMAA API is supported by schedulers such as SGE and
Condor, and makes it very easy to configure Opal to launch Grid/Cluster
jobs.
* Improved database logging, including user identification, and job
metadata.
