The current production version of Gama is version 1.3. The next major release will be version 1.5 that adds additional features but remains API compatible with all the 1.X releases. The additional features will include:
- Gama server dashboard - adds detailed instrumentation on the server and displays status and usage statistics,
- Single-signon capability - supports authentication of non-gridsphere based portals (any tomcat or apache based portal or website)
- Enhanced user management interface - provides better control and monitoring of user registrations.
Version 1.5 is due early Summer of 2007.
Beyond 1.5, we continue to work on the next major release, Version 2.0, that provides a complete rewrite of the server component, refined interfaces, more support for back-end plug-ins, more client support, user authorization using SAML-based tools, and support for multi-site administration.
